Oakdale Elementary Celebrates the 100th Day of School
Mari Dolphens' kindergarten class celebrated the 100th day of school on January 29th.  The class sang a 100-day song and counted to 100 by 1's, 5's, and 10's.  They also counted 100 pennies then traded Mrs. Dolphens for a one-dollar bill.  The kindergarten class jumped 100 times, made 100 hearts and 100 chicks. Swanson Celebrates 50 Years with a Sock Hop
Swanson staff and students laced up their saddle shoes and pulled on their poodle skirts as they celebrated the school's 50th anniversary. The school held an old-fashioned sock hop in the school gym on Friday, January 22. Click here for a slide show of Swanson showing off their school spirit.
WMS Sponsors Hats for Haiti
Westside Middle School sponsored a "Hats for Haiti" day on Friday, January 29.  Middle school teachers and students raised $407.84 that will go to the Clinton-Bush Haiti fund to help with relief efforts in that country.
