Mari Dolphens' kindergarten class celebrated the 100th day of school on January 29th.  The class sang a 100-day song and counted to 100 by 1's, 5's, and 10's.  They also counted 100 pennies then traded Mrs. Dolphens for a one-dollar bill.  The kindergarten class jumped 100 times, made 100 hearts and 100 chicks. Swanson staff and students laced up their saddle shoes and pulled on their poodle skirts as they celebrated the school's 50th anniversary. The school held an old-fashioned sock hop in the school gym on Friday, January 22. Click here for a slide show of Swanson showing off their school spirit.

Westside Middle School sponsored a "Hats for Haiti" day on Friday, January 29.  Middle school teachers and students raised $407.84 that will go to the Clinton-Bush Haiti fund to help with relief efforts in that country.
