Early Admission for Kindergarten

We will be accepting applications for the 2026-27 school year between January 2nd, 2026 through May 22nd, 2026. Testing begins in February and ends on May 31st.

 

Children of District residents who wish to be tested for early entrance to kindergarten must turn 5 years old between August 1 and October 15, 2026. Please see Board Policies 5150 and 5150-R for testing windows, qualifications, and more details.

Who is Eligible?

Children of district residents who turn 5 years old between August 1 and October 15, 2026 may be considered for early entrance to kindergarten. All applicants must participate in a district-administered assessment process to determine readiness.

• Early admission is not guaranteed and is based on results of standardized testing and evaluation.
