School Social Workers
What does a School Social Worker do?
School Social Workers are members of the educational team, serving as a link between home, school and community and providing direct and indirect services, resources, and support that promote student achievement and success.
All School Social Workers are professionally trained in mental health, with specialized knowledge and expertise to address the needs of all students. All Westside School Social Workers are licensed mental health providers. They work collaboratively with student support teams, build key relationships with students and families, and have unique skill sets that allow them to create positive, school-wide impact.
