Physics Teacher of the Year Award
Westside High School Science Teacher, Judith Stucky, has been named a PhysTEC Teacher of the Year!
The Physics Teacher Education Coalition Teacher of the Year award celebrates the outstanding efforts of high school physics teachers at both the local and national levels.
Stucky feels the award is validation for her time spent in front of students and with other instructors, “It means that my 34 years in education, 34 years of teaching physics, has had a positive effect on not only my students, but other teachers from around the world that have attended my workshops, or who worked with me scoring AP exams, or who worked with me at workshops and on projects.”
Stucky’s love of physics has rippled out and positively impacted others she has never met.
Judith Stucky has been teaching at Westside High School for 20 years. She previously taught science at Lincoln and Roosevelt High Schools in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
