Westside To Honor Six Students With Perfect ACT Scores

Westside Community Schools will hold an ACT Celebration on Tuesday, March 16, to honor six students who achieved either perfect ACT scores, or an ACT Superscore 36*. These students, representing just 0.334% of all students nationwide who take the ACT exam, are each pursuing elite academic paths after they graduate from Westside High School in May 2021.They are:

  • Andrew Li
  • Matthew Salfity
  • Ava Steele
  • John Dodge
  • Edward Morrissette
  • Isaac Wiles

“We are extremely proud of these students, their families, and the educators who helped them accomplish this tremendous achievement,” said Dr. Mark Weichel, Westside Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning. “This is why so many of us teach; to help kids reach their fullest potential translating into countless opportunities. We can’t wait to see what these learners do next!”

Members of the media are welcome to attend the Westside ACT Celebration events at Westside High School on Tuesday, March 16 at 3:30pm. This will take place in the main landing, visible as you enter the front doors; staff will also be on hand to assist media. *The ACT Superscore is a new final composite score made up of a test-takers best individual section scores across all ACT tests taken.
