Warrior Food Support

To help our Westside Community Schools families who are struggling with food insecurity, we ask you to consider a donation to our Warrior Food Support Drive.

Ways you can help:

·      Westside Food Pantry. We are accepting donations of non-perishable food items at the ABC Building (909 S. 76th Street) M-F between 9am and 4pm.

·      Westside Foundation Donation. You can donate to the “Family Support/Food Pantry Fund” through our foundation.

·      My School Bucks Lunch Donation. You can also help WCS students who have fallen behind on their lunch accounts by using a My School Bucks account.

District Superintendent Mike Lucas says, “We have identified about 500 families throughout our school district that have lost their SNAP benefits as of this week.” Lucas said, “We will also distribute meal boxes on Fridays to help get families through the weekend. During Thanksgiving week those meals will be distributed on Tuesday.”

We plan to continue the program through December or as long as we feel it is necessary. We appreciate any help you can give to the Warrior Food Support Drive.
