October 19, 2020 | COVID-19 Update for Swanson Families

The following was sent directly to all Swanson families and staff on October 19, 2020

Good evening,

We wanted to let you know that a staff member at Swanson has tested positive for COVID-19. As with any positive case in the district, anyone who would have had close contact with a positive case has been notified separately by a phone conversation.

We have case counts, reporting information, and additional details about the district’s COVID-19 response posted in a special section of our website at www.westside66.org. Click on COVID-19 Updates in the top banner.

We ask you to please help us continue the proactive measures we have in place to limit the spread of this virus.

  • Talk to your child about the importance of wearing their mask at school correctly at all times unless during a break, frequent handwashing, and social distancing
  • Monitor your child for symptoms and keep them home if they are ill or may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19
  • Be mindful of activities/events outside of school that may increase your risk for contracting COVID-19
  • If you or your child test positive for COVID-19, please notify us immediately

Thank you for your ongoing engagement and support to keep our school district running as safely as possible.
