Westside High School celebrates 50 seniors who scored 30 or higher on the ACT
Westside Community Schools was proud to host an ACT Scholars Celebration on Tuesday, March 15 to honor the 50 Westside High School seniors who scored a 30 or higher on the ACT in 2021.
Now required of all Nebraska high school juniors, and taken by nearly 2-million students across the country, the ACT remains a key factor for universities across the country when determining student selections and scholarships. At least one report indicates students who scored a 30 or higher on the ACT in 2021 ranked in the top 93rd percentile nationally. 50 of those students attend Westside High School.
“We are very proud of these students, and grateful for the dedicated teachers and parents who have supported them,” said Dr. Mark Weichel, Westside Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. “Results like this are evidence of talent and hard work, and the power of community partnerships. All of these students had the opportunity for free ACT preparation thanks to an anonymous donor with the Westside Foundation.”
