Tuesday, WHS West Campus students had a preview of a potential future path by visiting the University of Nebraska - Omaha on a personal campus tour.
"It was [a great experience] for these kids," said Rick Painter, District Coordinator of Secondary Counseling who organized the tour. "They enjoyed it. Many had smiles on their faces when we came back."
This is one of many opportunities for Westside students to learn about higher education and career paths, including one-on-one meetings with college representatives, paid apprenticeships, entrepreneur mentoring and earning college credit while still in high school.
