• Prairie Lane Elementary School was originally built in a quiet, residential neighborhood at the western edge of Westside Community School’s district boundaries. Commitment to excellence for Prairie Lane Panthers begins early for the children enrolled in Prairie Lane’s accredited Early Childhood Center, and continues as the focus of K-6 instruction. It is an annual goal to partner with parent and community organizations to expand basic programs in the arts, sciences, music and technology to play a critical role in ensuring the best educational experiences for every child. From our award-winning teachers, to our district-renowned Channel 6th Grade News program, Prairie Lane is a place where children are loved and nurtured to reach their full potential.

As part of the 2015 Master Facilities Plan approved by Westside voters, the district constructed a new Prairie Lane Elementary School at the original site, 11444 Hascall Street. The building, composed of 30% original structure and 70% new structure, opened to students and staff in April 2021. Click here to learn more!
