Made possible by the generous support of our donors, Westside Community Schools offers a FULLY FUNDED undergraduate program at Midland University in Omaha—helping Educational Assistants (EAs) take the next step to becoming certified teachers.

Steps to participate:

1. Apply and receive an offer for the position of Educational Assistant (EA) with Westside Community Schools.
2. Begin your work at Westside as an Educational Assistant (EA).
3. Apply to the Grow Our Own: EA to Teacher Ladder Program.
4. Be accepted to the program and start your coursework with Midland University (available in person or online) while working as an EA.
5. Complete the program, receive your degree & certification, and become a teacher with Westside Community Schools!
