Overview

  • WMS combines interscholastic and intramural programs for both 7th/8th grade girls and boys.  Our philosophy is to provide an opportunity for all students to participate at their developmentally appropriate level.  Interscholastic teams are divided based on ability and intramural teams are divided randomly.

    The interscholastic teams play area schools such as LaVista Junior High, Anderson Middle School, and Council Bluffs Kirn Junior High.  These teams will practice daily from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  All competitions are held after school at approximately 4 p.m.

    Intramurals take place from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Students sign-up and are placed on teams by the intramural coordinator.

    All students who choose to participate in athletics at WMS must have an athletic physical and parental consent on file in the athletic directors office before they will be allowed to practice or play.
