The District's 2024 Caucus will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Westside High School, 8701 Pacific Street, Omaha, NE 68114.
Caucus check-in begins at 6:15 p.m.; the Caucus starts at 7:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend the Caucus, there will be daytime voting available at the high school from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
You must be a registered voter residing in District 66 to vote in the Caucus. You can check your voter registration status through the Douglas County Election Commission, 12220 W. Center Road, Omaha, NE, 68144. Voter registration is NOT available at the Caucus.
If you are interested in running for the Board of Education, you must be a registered voter who resides in District 66 and submit a written letter of intent to run NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 21, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Letters of intent to run should be sent to: Superintendent's Office, ABC Building, 909 S. 76th St., Omaha, 68114. You must include your full legal name, address, and affirm your status as a registered voter. Eligibility is subject to verification through the Douglas County Election Commission.
For a candidate's name to appear on the pre-printed Caucus ballot AND to be included in pre-Caucus press releases, letters of intent MUST be received by the deadline of December 21, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
The 2024 Caucus Committee was approved by the Board of Education at its meeting on October 19, 2023, at 4:45 p.m. Click HERE to view the Meeting Agenda. Those serving on the 2024 Caucus Committee are: Rod Anderson, Amy Brown, Michael Grier, Todd Johnson, Charlie Liakos and Janet Parsonage.
The Caucus Committee met on Monday, October 23, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at the District Administration Office, 909 S. 76th Street, Omaha, NE, to draft the proposed Caucus Rules and Regulations. Click HERE to view the Meeting Agenda.
The Board of Education approved the 2024 Caucus Rules and Regulations at their board meeting on November 6, 2023. Click HERE to view the Meeting Agenda.
The Douglas County Election Commission approved the 2024 Caucus Rules and Regulations on November 14, 2023.
