2024 CAUCUS

The District's 2024 Caucus was held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Westside High School, 8701 Pacific Street, Omaha, NE 68114 to nominate up to four individuals for two 6-year terms on the Board of Education. Two letters of intent (to run for the Board of Education) were received at the District Office by the 4:00 p.m. deadline on 12/21/23. Letters of intent were submitted by incumbent Sarah Rider and incumbent Meagan Van Gelder. No additional candidates were nominated from the floor at the caucus.

District residents had the option to vote during the day on February 6th, or at the Caucus that evening. Totals for day and evening votes cast: Ms. Rider (105); Dr. Van Gelder (97). Ms. Rider's and Dr. Van Gelder's name will be placed on the ballot for the statewide primary election to be held on May 14, 2024. Vote totals for the primary election - received from the Douglas County Election Commission on 6/17/24 - are posted below.
