At the Board of Education Meeting on February 21, 2023, board members voted unanimously to authorize Westside Community Schools to pursue Phase II of the Facilities Master Plan, initially established in 2013. Extensive research and discussion involving the Westside Facilities Task Force identified top needs as part of this phase, with an estimated cost of $121 million dollars. The bond for Phase II was approved by WCS resident voters on May 9, 2023 via a MAIL-IN election. Click HERE for the official election results from the Douglas County Election Commission.

Phase II will include:

• New buildings for Westgate Elementary, Hillside Elementary and Loveland Elementary
• Expanded cafeteria along with repairs and projects at Westside Middle School 
• Expanded cafeteria, renovated bathroom, and renovated lockerrooms at Westside High School 
• Repairs and projects at Westbrook Elementary
• New storm shelter, gym, and early childhood areas at Paddock Road Elementary
• New storm shelter, gym, and early childhood areas at Rockbrook Elementary
• Handicap accessibility at the ABC Administration Building,
• Repairs and projects at Underwood Hills Early Childhood Center.
