Every school year, we need to have updated health information for all students. This can be done through PowerSchool. Additionally, we will need an Action Plan for your student if they have been diagnosed with asthma, a life-threatening allergy, diabetes, seizures, or other chronic illnesses. Please take a moment to review the letter from our WHS Nurse HERE for more information. Additionally, Westside High School needs permission to administer medication to your child. If your child has medication that you would like to authorize the school nurse to administer, please complete the Medication Authorization Form and return it to the WHS Health Office.
Please remember to put money in your child's My Lunch Bucks account so they can purchase their lunch. Additionally, starting this school year, there will be a new procedure in place during the lunch mods as well as passing periods. First, students who go to lunch in the cafeteria will need to stay in the cafeteria for the entire 40 minutes. Second, when students have open mods, they will need to select a location to study and stay there for the remainder of the mod. By putting these procedures in place, we can ensure that students have adequate time to eat and we can also limit disruptions to classrooms still receiving instruction by not having as much foot traffic in the hallways.
The Westside High School annual 9th Grade Curriculum Night will take place on Monday, August 22, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm. This is an opportunity for parents to learn more about many of the courses 9th grade students take during their freshman year. The evening will start in room 220, which is located in the center of our building. Parking will be available in the East Parking Lot, near the WHS Main Entrance and in the West Parking Lot near the Tennis Courts. We will open our Main Entrance and West Entrance doors at 5:45 pm and our school store will also be open for sales during the evening.
